An ordeal of great historic and geopolitical importance performed by Argentineans
who plouged the land in the white desert with pickaxes, spades, work, effort and bravery to allow large aircraft with conventional landing gear -that is wheels- to land.
Thus the members of Soberanía Patrol broke the isolation of the Antarctic Continent.
Today transpolar flights are possible.
Antarctica is part of the Nation where families live, Argentineans are born and so the work continues with the same spirit of sacrifice and work which the Antarctics had.
