The growth of Marambio Base lead to comfortable quarters appropriate to lodge and transport explorers and scientists to other areas in Antarctica.

Transpolar flights started and for that reason Australia, New Zealand, Oceania and the Far East became neighbours of Argentina because they are the nearest to the South, via Antarctica. Antarctic crews had to be isolated for a year previously. Now they can be quickly assisted or evacuated by air in case of need. Thus the crews are composed of families, with housewives who work in the Base and in the house, children who play and attend school being all of them members of a community similar to any other in the country.

Women have now an important place in the pacific conquest of our sovereignty on the 6th Continent which was the privilege of men before, who were isolated for over a year in order to fulfil this patriotic mission.

This allowed the birth of Argentineans in Antarctica who are proud to have been born there and for the special characteristics of not being Americans (as any Argentinean) because they are "Antartics".
